Namibia
A topographical tapestry. A vast and starkly beautiful country providing one with the feeling of solitude and leaving one in awe of nature and its workings. Somehow Namibia just feels like an ancient landscape, forged over time, where the fauna and flora have adapted instinctively to the environment.
From the arid landscape of the Namib and Kalahari Deserts, Skeleton Coast, Damaraland, Kaokaveld and Etosha Pans to the riverine bushveld of the Caprivi where the Okavango, Kwando and Zambezi rivers meander. All areas of real beauty and stark contrast, where the traditions of the indigenous peoples have not been lost entirely to western civilisation.
