Meet Chris Rightford
Khaki Fever is run by wildlife expert and veteran safari operator, Chris Rightford.
After being both head ranger and lodge manager at Sabi Sabi, he created The Nature Workshop in 1996, as an ecotourism concept & development company specialising in the development and expansion of a progressive community, nature and conservation based tourism ethos across southern Africa.
For over 30 years, The Nature Workshop has been at the forefront of the eco-tourism sector across southern Africa. The broad range of experience as developer and operator of both Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge and Thakadu River Camp, both community-owned lodges in Madikwe Game Reserve, to its consulting role to approximately 60 lodge operations across the southern African region, covering lodge logistics and operations, marketing, sales and reservations.
This unique insight into the safari sector is integral to the Khaki Fever offering as a specialist Tour Operator company, with a focus on nature and eco-based safari experiences across southern and eastern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
